The town itself is situated on a small peninsula in a sheltered harbor, surrounded by medieval ramparts and towers. The old town inside the walls is filled with cobbled streets, art galleries, and charming shops selling local products such as seafood and embroidered linen. Outside the town walls, visitors can enjoy the beautiful coastal landscapes, including rocky coves and sheltered bays, as well as hiking and cycling trails through the neighboring countryside.
