About

Small freshwater loch in the Cairngorms National Park surrounded by mountains and trees, called the green loch. There may be submerged trees fallen into the water but it’s a pretty safe place in warm weather. Great for kids & dogs under close control as there endangered wildlife may be nearby. Easy walk into water.

Getting there

Park near the Reindeer Centre & walk around 3.5km up the old logging track, gravelled path that’s easy to follow. Alternatively cycle up the track, great ride.

Accessibility

Stony beaches on one side of the loch, easy walk in minding out for rocks & submerged trees.
