Experience this spot in Avion. Great spot for rowing, cycling, kayaking, canoeing and walking. Avion is a commune in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the Hauts-de-France region of northern France. The area around Avion is mainly rural, with a mix of open fields and small villages. The landscape is characterized by gentle rolling hills and wooded areas, with occasional streams and small ponds dotted throughout. The town of Avion itself is surrounded by farmland and small residential areas. It has several parks and green spaces, including the Parc des Iles, a recreational area on the outskirts of town with several lakes and walking trails. To the northeast of Avion lies the city of Lens, known for its mining industry and the Musée du Louvre-Lens, a satellite museum of the famous Paris museum. The small town of Vimy, site of the famous WWI battle, is located to the northwest. Overall, the area around Avion is characterized by a peaceful, rural landscape with plenty of green space and small, charming villages.
