Le Pouliguen is located towards the western coast of France, in the Loire-Atlantique department, which is part of the Pays de la Loire region. The town is situated on the edge of the Baie de la Baule, a large bay that stretches from Le Pouliguen to the popular seaside resort town of La Baule. The surrounding landscape is characterised by sandy beaches, rocky coves and rugged cliffs, with lush forests and green fields further inland. The area is known for its picturesque coastal towns and lively resorts, with plenty of opportunities for water sports, hiking, and cycling. The nearby Brière Natural Park is a marshland area that is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, otters and wild boar.
