Family and dog friendly pebble beaches. There are two coves next to each other with other coves you could walk to as well. Be sure to wear swim shoes to protect your feet; as the pebbles are quite large and hurt the feet and go all the way into the chill water. If this area is full then make your way to the Ocean explorcentre as there is a larger beach there one can swim in.

Plan your swim
Before you go
- Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
- Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
- A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users
