The area around Tallinn is mostly flat, with rolling hills and forests surrounding the city. The city itself is known for its medieval architecture and cobblestone streets, with many historic landmarks and a well-preserved Old Town. The coastline has sandy beaches and rocky cliffs, with small islands scattered offshore.
