It is situated on the banks of the Narva River, which forms the border between Estonia and Russia. The scenery around Narva is characterized by the river and the surrounding forests, which provide a natural habitat for wildlife such as elk and wolves. There are also several small lakes and wetlands in the area that are popular with bird watchers. One of the most striking features of the area is the Narva Castle, which dates back to the 13th century and is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Estonia. The castle overlooks the river and is surrounded by a moat, offering visitors incredible views of the surrounding scenery.
