Experience this spot in Chios. Great location for swimming and paddling, cycling, kayaking, canoeing and wind surfing. Chios is a Greek island located in the Aegean Sea, close to the Turkish coast. The island is famous for its stunning beaches, crystal blue waters, and lush green mountains. The coastline is dotted with small fishing villages, rocky coves, and sandy beaches. The interior of the island is also beautiful, with rolling hills covered in olive groves, citrus orchards, and pine forests. Scattered across the landscape are picturesque villages, historic monasteries, and Byzantine ruins. The island also boasts a unique "mastic" forest, where the resin from the mastic tree is harvested to produce a traditional Chios product – a natural gum with a distinctive aroma and a multitude of culinary and medicinal uses. Overall, Chios is a stunningly beautiful island that offers a mix of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
