Explore this spot in Ruidera. Popular location for swimming and paddling, kayaking and canoeing. Ruidera is located in the province of Ciudad Real in the region of Castilla-La Mancha in central Spain. The area is known for its breathtaking natural scenery, with over 15 interconnected lakes and waterfalls surrounded by hills covered with vegetation. The lakes are surrounded by reeds, water lilies, and rushes, making it an excellent place for birdwatching, fishing, and a variety of water sports. The natural park of Las Lagunas de Ruidera is a protected area that covers 4000 hectares and is home to various species of flora and fauna. The landscape is dotted with small villages with whitewashed houses, some of which date back to the Middle Ages, enhanced by olive groves, and vineyards. The area is perfect for hiking, cycling, and exploring nature, thanks to the well-marked trails and opportunities for camping and picnicking.
