About

For swimming and sunbathing, this place is at its best during a sunny day and high tide. Best arrive 1 or 1.5h before high tide, get cut off, and rest till waters make the way back possible, in about 2-3 hours. It's a lush time and it has always passed quickly.

Location

Getting there

There is a small car park but it's possible to leave the car anywhere where's space. Go the to end of the road and you'll see a foot path going straight down to the beach. From there the place is still about 200 meters to the right of the beach behind the sharp bend. Walking on the stones might be challenging for some, but there are some bigger flat stones to lie down on further on.

Accessibility

Wear neoprene socks for comfort when walking on pebbles. Small or even big rocks may fall from the cliff, may not be a good idea to stay underneath them for long.

Plan your swim

Before you go

  • Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
  • Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
  • Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
  • Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
  • A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users

Conditions change fast. Always check the latest data, read recent community reports, and swim within your ability.

A tow float for visibility, warm layers for after, and footwear for rocky entries. In colder months, consider a wetsuit, gloves, and a swim cap.
