Explore this spot in Lichtenfels. Great location for swimming and paddling, kayaking, canoeing and supping. Lichtenfels is a town located in Upper Franconia, in the northern part of Bavaria, Germany. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills and forests, as well as several small streams and rivers. The town itself is situated in a valley between two larger hills, and features a compact, medieval-style center with narrow streets and historic buildings. There are also several parks and gardens in and around Lichtenfels, including the nearby Mainauen nature reserve. Overall, the scenery in this part of Bavaria is picturesque and rural, with an emphasis on outdoor activities such as hiking and biking.
