The town is located in a valley by the Kocher River and is surrounded by hills covered in forests, vineyards, and agricultural fields. The landscape is very picturesque and offers great opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and cycling. Stuttgart, the capital city of Baden-Württemberg, is located about 60 kilometers northeast of Forchtenberg. The area around Stuttgart is characterized by gently rolling hills, vineyards, and dense forests. The city itself is situated in a valley surrounded by hills and there are plenty of green spaces like parks and gardens within the city. The region is known for its high-quality wines, scenic drives, and historic castles and palaces.
