Experience this spot in Tauriac. Great location for swimming and paddling, kayaking, canoeing and walking. Tauriac is a picturesque village located in the Lot department of Occitanie in southern France. The area is characterized by rolling hills, lush green fields, and meandering rivers. The village is surrounded by a rural landscape of small farms and vineyards, dotted with traditional stone houses and historic buildings. The Lot River, which flows to the south of the village, provides stunning views of the valley and is a popular spot for fishing and river sports. The nearby Quercy Regional Natural Park, which spans more than 200,000 acres, offers visitors the opportunity to explore unspoiled forests, limestone plateaus, and stunning gorges. The area is known for its vineyards, and visitors can sample some of the local wines in the numerous wineries and tasting rooms in the surrounding villages. Tauriac itself is home to a number of historic landmarks, including an 11th-century church and a beautifully restored communal bread oven.
