Bakio is a picturesque coastal town located in Biscay, Basque Country. It is known for its long sandy beach that stretches for over two kilometers and for the impressive Caves of Santimamiñe, with prehistoric cave paintings. The town is surrounded by lush green mountains that form part of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, a protected area recognized by UNESCO.
