The town itself is situated on a small peninsula and is characterized by its narrow streets, traditional white-walled houses and a picturesque harbor dotted with colourful fishing boats. The surrounding hills are dotted with vineyards of txakoli, the local white wine, adding a touch of greenery to the landscape. Overall, the area around Getaria is peaceful and beautiful, offering visitors a chance to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the Basque coast.
