Check out this spot in Ceuta. Great location for swimming and paddling, supping, snorkelling and wind surfing. Ceuta is a small Spanish enclave located on the northern coast of Africa, bordered on three sides by Morocco and on its fourth side by the Mediterranean Sea. The area around Ceuta is mountainous and rugged, with hills rising steeply from the coast. The coastline is dotted with small beaches and coves, and there are several small islands offshore. The landscape is characterized by scrubby Mediterranean vegetation, with occasional forests of oak and cork trees. Despite its small size, Ceuta has a rich history and culture, influenced by its location at the crossroads of Europe and Africa. The city's architecture reflects its diverse influences, from Roman ruins to Moorish fortresses to Art Deco buildings from the Spanish colonial period.

Plan your swim
Before you go
- Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
- Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
- A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users

A tow float for visibility, warm layers for after, and footwear for rocky entries. In colder months, consider a wetsuit, gloves, and a swim cap.
