Shallow enough to stand up in the middle for a 5'10" person but depth varies as the riverbed is a muddy/gravel mix. Sheep field on the opposite side (area is vegetated enough that the sheep field pollution shouldn't be a concern but best to avoid swimming after periods of heavy rain causing field run-off). Bank is muddy and has nettles so tread carefully. The river pushes against you as you swim to keep you in pretty much the same spot but on a sunny day it's a nice time, if a bit boring.

Park at the carpark just north of St. Mary's Church and follow the White Bridge Walk to this point which enters into an enclosed field (w3w: ///trailer.negotiators.handwriting). Follow the field around to the point.
