About

Greta Bridge. Great paddling spot for children & dogs and dipping for swimmers close to centre of Keswick. Step over the flood barrier at the top of the slope down from the bridge to the beach area. Stony area good for a paddle or walk under bridge (concrete) to a deeper area on the other side. Depending on recent rainfall there may be enough water there to swim against the current. Cold water (14C when I went during a cold August). Swim not suitable if river high or in flood. Swim at own risk.

Location

Getting there

Lots of parking in Keswick within a short walk of the bridge. Short walk from bus station. Flood barrier to step over in place when I visited which was approx 70cm high.

Accessibility
