About

A nice slow flowing part of the river Teme. Fairly sheltered by trees and a lovely grassy bank which catches the shade beautifully. A nice pebbled beach leads into the river. There are also fish which I always take as a good sign!

Location

Getting there

We parked near the Martley memorial hall. From there it's about a 20 minute walk. Head west along a little country lane which you follow round to the right. At the end there's a little forest path - again off to the right! Which you follow until you reach the river. On local maps the area is known as wooden seat.

Accessibility

There's a rough grass bank which you have to descend to get to the spot. Also a fair few hills to walk up and down to get here!

A tow float, shoes with grip for slippery banks, and warm layers for after. Water shoes protect against rocks and debris on the riverbed.
