Experience this spot in Berlin. Popular location for swimming and paddling, cycling, kayaking, canoeing, walking, supping and wind surfing. Berlin is the capital city of Germany and is located in the northeastern part of the country. The city is surrounded by the state of Brandenburg, which is characterized by forests, lakes, and rivers. Outside of the urban area of Berlin, there are several nature reserves and parks that offer beautiful scenery, such as the Grunewald Forest and the Müggelsee lake. The landscape is flat and dotted with small hills created by sand dunes from the last Ice Age. The Berlin Wall, which once divided the city from 1961 to 1989, has left a noticeable impact and is now a popular tourist attraction. Overall, the area surrounding Berlin is a mix of urban and natural landscapes with historical landmarks and modern architecture.
