About
Between East Pier and nearest edge of East Cliff, about 500 metres there and back. fine shingle rigged beach, some course sand at low tide. There can be a bit of a drop off depends on recent sea activity. Prevailing southwesterly winds. RNLI lifeguard in the summer holiday. Keep off the rocky ground around the East Pier. Waves can be dumpy at times. Also watch for under tow. The Current usually flows from pier to the cliffs so can be more of a work out on return swim.

- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
