For beaches, lidos, cafés, saunas and swim venues
Put Wild on your wall. Or your TV.
Every swimmer at your spot asks the same question: how’s the water today? A free poster or a live screen answers it — and brings your swimmers into a community that reports back.
Free for venues. Free for swimmers. No app needed to scan.
Three steps, ten minutes
- Step 1
Find your spot
Search for the beach, lake or river you sit beside. 23,000+ spots across the UK & Europe — every designated bathing water included.
- Step 2
Print the poster, or open the TV view
Both buttons are on the spot’s page. The poster is one sheet of A4; the TV view is one link to open on any screen with a browser.
- Step 3
Swimmers scan, and post back
A scan opens today’s conditions, free, no account. Swimmers who join post how it was — reports the next swimmer can use.
The poster
One sheet of A4 for the noticeboard, the café wall or the changing room door. Your spot’s name, a QR code to its live page, the app’s own safety tips, and a small code for the app.
- Scans open today’s water temperature, conditions and official water quality — free, no account
- Put your venue’s or club’s name on top, so it reads as your sign
- Prints from the browser, or saves as a PDF for a print shop
The TV view
A live screen for a sauna, a café or a club room. Open one link on any TV, tablet or laptop with a browser, sign in once, press Start, and leave it.
- Water temperature, conditions, today’s tide curve and the official water quality rating
- The hours ahead, what swimmers posted here, and a scan-me slide — cycling all day
- Refreshes every 15 minutes and reloads itself daily. Nothing to maintain
Why we do this
Wild exists because swimmers built it for swimmers. A poster on your wall is how the next swimmer finds it.
Completely free
No fee for venues, no fee for swimmers. Print the poster, open the screen, and it runs itself.
Wild Pro is optional
Swimmers who want days two to seven of the forecast can subscribe — £3.99/mo or £29.99/yr. Today’s conditions and all official water quality are free for everyone, with no account.
Safety first
Water temperature, wind, waves, tides and the official bathing-water rating, shown plainly so people can decide for themselves.
Live conditions
Forecasts from Open-Meteo, tides from WorldTides, sea temperature from Copernicus Marine, and water quality from the agencies that test it.
Built on community
Swimmers post what they found. A poster or a screen at your spot turns every swim into a report the next swimmer can use.
Conditions change fast. Check local guidance and swim within your limits.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The poster and the TV view cost nothing and there is nothing to sign. Today’s conditions and all official water quality are free for every swimmer, with no account. Wild Pro is an optional subscription (£3.99/mo or £29.99/yr) for swimmers who want days two to seven of the forecast.
What do we have to do?
Open your spot’s page on Wild. Tap Poster to print an A4 sheet with a QR code to the spot’s live page, or tap TV view to open the live screen on any TV, tablet or laptop with a browser. That is it.
Does the screen need looking after?
No. It fetches fresh conditions every 15 minutes and reloads itself once a day. Sign in once on the TV’s browser with a free Wild account and it stays signed in.
Can we put our own name on the poster?
Yes. Choose “Your venue’s poster”, add your name, a line above it and a short note, and it reads as your sign. Wild takes the footer credit.
Where does the data come from?
Weather, marine and wave forecasts from Open-Meteo, tide predictions from WorldTides, satellite sea-surface temperature from Copernicus Marine, and bathing-water quality from the agency that tests each site: the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, SEPA, DAERA, the EPA in Ireland and the European Environment Agency.
Do you tell swimmers whether it is safe to swim?
No. Wild shows the conditions and the official rating so people can decide for themselves, and it never gives a go or no-go verdict. Every poster and screen carries the same line: conditions change fast, check local guidance and swim within your limits.
Our spot is not on Wild yet
Add it. Drop a pin, name it, and it is on the map for everyone. Then print the poster.
Put it up this week.
Find your spot, tap Poster or TV view, done. If your spot is not on Wild yet, add it first — it is on the map for everyone.
