Great sea pool. Easy entry and exit, shallow part for children. Best to avoid peak hours, peak season but leaves plenty of other times to swim. Note - sadly, also need to double-check sewage discharge nearby here before going over. Not a fault of the pool of course and impacts all beaches nearby too.

Love bude sea pool, however, don’t enjoy dodging kayakers/paddleboarders who also use the pool.

As a regular dipper at Summerleaze beach, the pool is a safe alternative when there are rips or the waves are too big in the ocean. A lovely swim community at the pool too with donations to The Friends of Bude Sea Pool gratefully received by the many members.

About

A part natural, part man-made tidal swimming pool located in the rocks at Summerleaze Beach. The pool is managed by a local volunteer charity, Friends of Bude Sea Pool, and is completely free and open to the public all year round.

Location

Getting there

It is located on the South West Coast path above Summerleaze Beach. There are a range of pay and display car parks located within walking distance of the pool, including Summerleaze Beach car park, Crooklets Beach car park, and the Bude tourist information centre.

Accessibility

To access the poolside you will need to walk down/up some stairs. The area surrounding the pool is relatively level with a shallow entry area.
