About

Farleigh and District Swimming Club is located in Farleigh Hungerford (BA2 7RS). It is open during the summer months, from May to September. If there is warm weather outside of this period the Club may be opened. It costs £25 per year (as at August 2021) for a family membership and this can be purchased through their website (farleighswimming.co.uk). This is a super spot where the water is deep with shallower spots near the weir. Perfect for young and old where swimming and fun is plentiful.

Plan your swim

Before you go

  • Check recent rainfall. Rivers rise fast after heavy rain.
  • Never swim in fast-flowing or flooded water
  • Test entry/exit before you commit. River banks can be undercut.
  • Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
  • Watch for submerged obstacles like branches, weirs, and rocks

Conditions change fast. Always check the latest data, read recent community reports, and swim within your ability.
