About

Clear mountain stream. Like an infinity pool in the forest. Easy to get in and out.

Location

Getting there

Go to Tyn Y Groes Car Park (Tyn Y Groes, Dolgellau LL40 2HN) as you come over the bridge to the car park take a right turn and follow the small road through the forest to the Forest Garden trail. There is disabled parking first but if you carry on a little way there is a larger car park for all on your left. Do not take the small footbridge across the waterfalls, turn immediately left and follow the track for around 1-2 minutes and you will come across a lovely safe pool to swim in!

Accessibility

Footpath has lots of tree roots but many trees to steady yourself of. Nice gentle slope into the pool itself.

Before you go

  • Test entry/exit before you commit. River banks can be undercut.
  • Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
  • Watch for submerged obstacles like branches, weirs, and rocks

Conditions change fast. Always check the latest data, read recent community reports, and swim within your ability.
