Explore this spot near Mons. Popular location for swimming and paddling, kayaking and canoeing. Mons is a small village located in the Hérault department of Occitanie region in southern France. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills covered with vineyards, olive groves, and dense forests. The landscape is dotted with small villages that are typically built around ancient stone houses, narrow streets, and centuries-old chapels. The region is famous for its dramatic scenery, including the stunning Gorges du Hérault – a narrow, winding canyon that follows the path of the Hérault River – and the nearby Pic Saint-Loup – a rugged mountain that offers incredible panoramic views of the region.
