About
The sand beach's length is 12,000 meters (8 miles), one of the longest in Europe and the longest beach in Montenegro.
Location
Getting there
It is about an hour and a half drive from Podgorica airport to get to the start of the beach. There are parking spots all the way along with many access points to walk down. There is a long designated walk from the start to about half way down.
Accessibility
The W3W location saved as the location is at the bottom of Azul beach hotel which has parking before entering and paths round to get down to the beach. Not sure about disabled access but thereight be some in other locations. The section we are in has about 100m that you can comfortably walk out in only really starting to drop off after that. Walking it gets to about 5ft 9 deep. But has sand bars that then comes back up to about a foot. The tide isn't to strong and manageable for all.

Plan your swim
Before you go
- Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
- Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
- A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users

A tow float for visibility, warm layers for after, and footwear for rocky entries. In colder months, consider a wetsuit, gloves, and a swim cap.
