Marmande is situated in Lot-et-Garonne department in the southwestern region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France. The surrounding area is characterized by rolling hills, fields of sunflowers and vineyards. The Garonne river flows nearby and there are a number of pretty villages and towns to explore, including Duras and Monflanquin.
