Great spot upstream side of the bridge. The depth Varys from approx 1.2m at its deepest. Quite a few other people having a dip when I was there. The water was clean and staying in about an hour. There’s lots of swim spots downstream from the bridge and loads of families and students were enjoying swimming and SUPs. Great for kids and dogs
Location
Getting there
You can park in the Cricket club car park. It may close at night, but all seem to be welcome if you park away from the pavilion. From here you can follow paths up or downstream and take your pick. The big sewage works is downstream from here!
Accessibility
Accessing is via sloping bank. Quite stony, I found Crocs were good for this spot. I swam in the middle of summer. This river rises to very high levels at points during the year.
