A tidal part of the river Itchen so only swimmable at certain times of day, but benefits from double high tide. Swim from woodmill down along side Riverside Park, with places you can get out along the park, or keep going under cobden bridge and the blue railway bridge and get out at St Denys for a longer swim. Note, the water quality here is much poorer than across the road on the non-tidal part, so would recommend keeping your head out of the water.
