The surrounding areas are characterized by a mixture of urban and rural landscapes. The region has rolling hills, small forests, and extensive farmland. The Rhine River is an important feature of the area, and the cities of Krefeld and Düsseldorf are located on its banks. Along the river, there are bike paths, walking areas, and river cruises.
