Good swimmable stretch weed free (do have to walk through some at edge) even at end of July and although not deep (approx 5ft at deepest) plenty enough for swimming. Lots of fish who like to swim around you and ypur feet plus occasional crayfish so shoes recommended. Good for children and adults alike. Popular with kayaks and paddleboards as platform to launch from. Do not swim to right of entry point as weir creates hidden dangers.
Location
Getting there
Park at Leisure Centre and walk down or drive down track to park right next to water. Gate across track may be closed from 7pm but Leisure Centre has no gate so advise parking there if later to avoid getting locked in. All parking areas free of charge.
Accessibility
Very easy access with ability to park within approx 10 metres of water and concrete slipway into water. A few stones but not particularly uneven ground.
