Lovely beach. If it's your first time try for low tide then you can get a look at the rocks which are hidden at high tide. We always go in level with Morrisons and swim towards the prom direction.Sometimes as calm as a mirror or as wild as anything. Outgoing wild tide can cause rips. Caution needed.
Location
Getting there
There's a car park behind Morrisons, head towards kinghorn you'll pass a bus stop on your left. Take the left straight after it. Down and to the right. We always park at the beginning of the car park. Grass then the beach. Easy accessibility but public transport or by foot
Accessibility
Good parking walk over the grass past picnic benches and down wooden ramps to the beach. We have swimmers with mobility issues. If tides in 15m to the water if tide out up to 300m depending on the moon cycle

Plan your swim
Before you go
- Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
- Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
- A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users

Check the Tides tab for today's high and low times. Many coastal spots are best around high tide when there's enough water depth, or during slack water when currents are weakest.
What should I bring?
A tow float for visibility, warm layers for after, and footwear for rocky entries. In colder months, consider a wetsuit, gloves, and a swim cap.
