About

Family friendly , dog friendly. Such a beautiful place to swim all year round. A few jelly fish around mid August / early September but I think that is the way with most places. It’s one of the few places where you can swim even at low tide as it is never that far out. It also has a cafe. In the summer months a pontoon to dive from . For those of you who do not like sand it is a pebbly beach. There is also a diving centre, for those of you who would like to learn , or simply enjoy diving

Location

Getting there

From town head up Queens road , keep going until you reach a sign that says Haut Croix, turn right down la route D’ebeneezer follow the round and there will be a sign post on the left go take you to Bouley bay the road to take you down to Bouley bay is called : Les Charriers De Bouley . In The parish of Trinity if you are using sat nav type in the post code : JE3 5AS there is parking at the harbour and also on the road.

Accessibility

Once parked there is no long walk as the beach is right there . There are 4 different options there is the main beach down the stairs to the right, there is the slipway, there is the harbour which also has steps, or behind the harbour there is also a little pebbly beach which is very pleasant to swim in. As per usual with all sea swimming, check weather forecasts and winds , be mindful that the sea can have a pull.

Plan your swim

Before you go

  • Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
  • Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
  • Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
  • Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
  • A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users

Conditions change fast. Always check the latest data, read recent community reports, and swim within your ability.

Check the Tides tab for today's high and low times. Many coastal spots are best around high tide when there's enough water depth, or during slack water when currents are weakest.
