About
Maintained tidal pool approx 150m wide by 150m long offering free year round swimming. Several sets of steps for easy access off the walls, or direct from the beach although care needed to choose sandy area as some chalk rocks can be uneven. Swimming around low tide is recommended up to 2.5 - 3hrs either side of high tide so pool walls are exposed.

Plan your swim
Before you go
- Check tide times before entering. Incoming tides can cut off escape routes.
- Watch for rip currents, especially near groynes and headlands
- Cold water shock is real. Enter slowly and control your breathing.
- Always swim with others or tell someone your plan
- A tow float makes you visible to boats and other water users
