About
Swim from St Nicholas Park down the Avon to view the castle from the water! Access either from the point marked on the map or from the car park on the opposite bank - Myton Fields. Check if you can swim against the current by swimming away from the bridge & the castle first before swimming downstream towards the castle. Do not swim beyond the safety rope marking the approach to the weir. Beware of boats from the club - swim on the right of the river as you head downstream. Tow float essential.
